Identifying Significant Factors Affecting the Human Development Index in East Java Using Ordinal Logistic Regression Model

The achievement of human development can be reviewed from the Human Development Index (HDI), which is sourced indicators health, education, and state income. East Java Province second-most populous province in Indonesia has a high work intensity economic aspects abundant natural resources. However, judging level index, occupies lowest position compared to other provinces on island Java. This study aims identify significant factors affecting Java's HDI using ordinal logistic regression. data Statistics (Indonesian: Badan Pusat Statistik, BPS) 2020 includes seven variables, namely Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), school participation rate, infant mortality health facilities, population density, labor force open unemployment rate. produced two regression models medium category with classification accuracy value 97.37%.
